Read, Sleep, Repeat
In your gratitude journal there is a prompt where you are invited to do something kind for others. But firstly it’s important to clarify what I mean by this. True acts of giving should come from a place of genuine and spontaneous generosity, both in what you offer and how graciously you receive.
If you find yourself debating whether or not to give, it could mean that you’re approaching it as a transaction. This means that you might be expecting something in return, such as approval, to validate your own self-worth.
However, true self-worth comes from within, where you inherently know your own value and don’t rely on external validation. It’s about genuinely wanting to make others feel better and celebrating their achievements, without expecting anything in return. It’s about leaving people feeling uplifted after encountering you and finding joy in the success of others. When you embrace true self-worth, you genuinely desire growth and expansion for others, just as you do for yourself. You recognise that as spiritual beings, our purpose is to evolve and express our authenticity. The important thing is to aspire for progress and success for everyone, without resorting to undermining others or engaging in unhealthy competition.
Simply put, to convey the impression of increase, you must want the same for everybody that you want for yourself. It’s leaving others feeling better than before they met you.
When giving becomes part of who you are, the
universe will continually send positivity your way.
According to the Law of Cause and Effect,
what you put out comes back to you.
Here are a few simple ways to convey the impression of increase:
Give genuine compliments.
Show interest in others by asking questions and listening.
Acknowledge their accomplishments.
Smile often and use their name.
Recognise their efforts.
Show you remember what they have previously told you.
Highlight their kindness.
When you radiate positive energy to everyone, regardless of their behaviour towards you, you will be abundantly rewarded. This may seem counterintuitive, but remember that you are connected to a universal power. By universal law, your acts of kindness will come back to you.
It may feel awkward at first. However, it will get easier because there is so much good about every person. If you look for it, you’re going to see it.
And when you do see it, do you know what you’re going to see?
A reflection of the good that’s in you.
Isn’t that beautiful?
